Verge is a place for actual community. It is built around people, conversation, and discovery instead of turning every interaction into another metric.
Verge gives people simple tools to find each other, share what matters, and actually talk without making every interaction feel like a competition.
Share photos, thoughts, ideas, and the things you actually want to talk about.
Discover new people and communities without being buried under endless noise.
Build smaller spaces where people can talk about shared interests without shouting over the whole internet.
Ask a question, start a conversation, and hear what your people actually think.
Share what resonates with you and help good creators reach people who will care.
Keep up with meaningful interactions without turning every notification into a competition.
Verge is for creators, friends, and communities who are tired of every interaction being treated like a metric. It should be easier to find your people, talk to them, and enjoy the internet without feeling like you're working for an algorithm.
Verge is not about performing for everybody. It is about finding your people. Follow creators you care about, build smaller spaces around shared interests, and have conversations that do not feel optimized into oblivion.
Come build it with us →Share what you make, think, notice, or care about without turning it into a performance.
Find people who care about the same things you do and actually talk to them.
Build smaller spaces that feel like communities instead of crowds.
Built for people, not just metrics.
Community should feel like people, not performance.
“I didn't build Verge because the world needed another social app. I built it because I wanted one that still felt human and refuses to sell out.”
L.G., Founder of Verge
Apple beta testing is active, and Android beta production began October 6, 2026. Join the beta list below and tell us what you use so we can put you in the right group.
If you ever want to help with hosting, infrastructure, or development costs, voluntary donations are always welcome. They are never required to use Verge.
See how to support Verge →Verge is still growing, so the answers here are meant to be clear about what the platform is now and where it is headed.
Verge is an independent social platform built around people, conversation, discovery, and community. It has the social features you expect, but the point is not to turn every post, reply, or friendship into another number to chase.
Verge is not trying to become TikTok with a different logo. It is being built with more room for conversation, smaller communities, creator discovery, and the parts of social media that used to feel genuinely social.
Yes. Verge is free to use. Keeping the core platform free matters. If you want to help with hosting, infrastructure, or development costs, voluntary donations are appreciated, but they are never required to use Verge.
Right now, Verge is independently built and self-funded. There are no corporate backers deciding what the platform should become. The goal is to grow carefully and keep Verge answerable to the people who actually use it.
Verge is not being built around selling personal information to advertisers. As the platform grows, the Privacy Policy will explain what information is collected, why it is needed, and how it is handled in plain language.
Verge is not being built around an ad-first business model. If the platform ever tests sponsorships or another revenue model, users will be told clearly instead of having it quietly worked into the experience.
Android beta production began October 6, 2026. It is still in development, so beta access is not open yet, but Android users can join the beta list now.
Use the beta signup form above. Apple users can request current access, and Android users can join the testing list while Android production is underway.
Verge is being built independently by L.G. It started because social media had become louder, more corporate, and less human than it needed to be. Verge is an attempt to build something different on purpose.
The best way to support Verge is to use it, invite people you actually want to talk to, report bugs, and send feedback. If you also want to help financially, optional donations can help cover hosting and development without turning Verge into a corporate billboard.
