WHAT'S NEW

Verge is being built in public.

The changelog is a plain-language record of meaningful updates. Not every tiny code change belongs here. The things users will actually notice do.

BETA UPDATE

Profiles, Theme Songs, and better video presentation.

  • Restored the profile menu as an animated side drawer that slides over the profile instead of using a popup-style system alert. The drawer keeps Customize, Settings, My Reports, staff moderation tools, About Verge, and newer help and settings items together.
  • Expanded Theme Songs to support both Spotify and Audius with separate provider tabs. Spotify keeps the existing link-based flow, while Audius now supports in-Verge search, preview and playback, track selection, and saving an Audius track as the active profile Theme Song.
  • Audius does not require a separate Audius account. For now, Audius playback uses a compact in-Verge mini player while broader licensing options are worked through.
  • Added creator-controlled video presentation sizing with Full, 90%, 80%, and 70% options. Smaller sizes center the complete video with extra breathing room and do not crop or re-encode the source.
  • Existing video posts continue to display at Full by default, so older content is unchanged.
WEBSITE UPDATE

Professional polish pass.

  • Added Contact, Support Verge, Status, Changelog, and custom 404 pages.
  • Added proper favicon files, social sharing artwork, search metadata, a sitemap, and a web app manifest.
  • Added privacy-friendly Vercel Web Analytics and Speed Insights hooks.
  • Expanded accessibility support with skip navigation, clearer focus states, and reduced-motion handling.
  • Expanded the legal center with privacy, terms, community guidelines, and copyright and music policies.
BUILD 11

A smoother post and comments flow.

  • Fixed the profile-post comments flow so closing comments returns to the same post and closing the post returns to the profile.
  • Continued beta work across the Stack, profiles, replies, and activity experience.
BETA

Still building.

Verge is actively changing. Features may move, improve, disappear, or get rebuilt when the better answer becomes obvious. That is what beta is for.
